Get Classy, Eye For The TI Or All On Red?

I went from a 290x to a 780ti to a 290 and now a 780. Without tools they all seem about the same to me at 1440p. The 780's feel a bit more polished and premium compared to the AMD cards. I never found mantle to be anything special tbh it was always smoother using DX on BF4 for me.

If you have always had AMD go Nvidia and see what you think. You can always return under DSR if you get scared.

24 posts and no ones made a quip about putting it all on (Titan) black?

Personally I'd be looking at the overclocked model 780s.

He never asked about Titans, 780 vs Ti more cores and can be clocked as far or more apart from 780 Classy unless its vs Ti classy.

A lot can change in only a few months, so to be honest i'd come back and ask opinions the week you actually plan on buying the GPU.

Well its more like 6 weeks and i can't see that much of a revolution in 6 weeks lol Aside from a few people responding to the actual question there's a lot of talk about features i'm not really fussed about!

To be more specific a pure performance point between a modestly clocked Classy v a 290x

IMO if your willing to wait for a deal i'd get a TI out of those u have listed at those prices
If there was a deal on a 290X however it would be worth revisiting them

I'd imagine unless your really unlucky most classys will clock to reference TI levels without a issue.

This.

imho A 780Ti isn't worth the extra £100 The 780 classy can clock to a ref 780Ti. 780 classy

The 780 classy is roughly reference Ti performance out of the box, but might not have much left in the tank compared to the Ti.
I'd go with the 780Ti.

Personally i'd get a 290 as i wouldn't notice the difference between any of them while gaming and save myself £200. You could get a second hand ref 290 and a custom loop for ~£450, then just add in another card later if you wanted to.

However if your sticking to air and are willing to spend up to £500 then you will be able to get a 780ti which is currently the fastest card with the current drivers. I'd be waiting for the 6gb version of the cards to come out though and have a look at the pricing, as you mentioned upgrading your monitor later (presumed you meant higher res).

I just want op to be aware. I was told the classy was a beast and hyped myself up for it, then it could only clock 30mhz on the core at stock volts :P
