Great choice mate. The 780 classified is a amazing card. You'll be very happy. Get 2 for SLI and you'll be unstoppable

Can't say I have any regrets about deciding to go for an overclocked model 780 over the higher cards - pretty much anything out there at the moment plays at ultra settings with fps to spare and while I mostly play at 1920x1080 I have a Dell U2913WM as well and no performance issues there.

Exactly. A GTX780 or above can pretty much max out all games at 1080p

I think the 290 on paper is a great card but looking at the forums it seems that amd is yet again encountering driver problems which is unacceptable so if I were you for peace of mind get nvidia

I fail to see these pages and pages of 290 drivers problems. Sounds like a load of bull as usual.
