Get fat fast!

if there's a usless thread award i think this one would be a runner for it, skeleton stays the same, but if perents have a larger frame don't they pass it on through genes?

Surely that's mostly because most of them started bodybuilding/swimming/whatever when they were still adolescents and their bodies were still developing? I know you're right that you can build bone mass through exercise even as an adult, but it's not really to a noticeable degree, and certainly nothing that will make you look like Arnie or whoever.

I never stated how much growth would happen - I just said growth ;) It's down to genetics too, some people are more susceptible to changes. :)

However your first point is entirely correct it's more noticeable on younger bodies.

Yeah, you have to be careful with weight gain, because you can get the ultra rare Diabetes Type 3, or "Inter-skeletal insulin deficiency". If I recall, it's a case of 1 in 500,000 or even rarer. If you get Diabetes T-3, you will die without a skeleton transplant.

So please be careful before you consider frivolous weight gain.

yeh if you don't take skeletal c6-dextrose supplements (available from Holland and Barrett) while quickly gaining weight from the consumption of carbohydrates you can end up looking like this:

rather than this:

and if it gets too bad and you catch Inter-skeletal insulin deficiency then continue eating your belly grow at an incredible rate.. Then eventually explode and you will die..

which looks like this:

p.s I thought the cases were more like 1 in 20,000 people.

To simply ask for advice about gaining weight but being so vague about your reasons as to why you would like to gain this extra weight doesn't really help the readers so they can contribute and help you out. (I have read the entire thread but I still can’t make heads or tails out of the situation).

I would suggest consulting your doctor and/or what ever your reasoning for gaining this extra weight, for example, going on a polar expedition, then talk to a professional in that field and see what they have to say and then going from their. :)

Get a tumour

340x.jpg

Chinese woman Chen Huanxiang, suffering from a huge tumour in the abdomen, lies on a bed at the Wuhan No. 6 Hospital on April 17, 2007 in Wuhan of Hubei Province, China. 39-year-old Chen from the Huangpi District of Wuhan, has suffered from the large tumour since five years ago but delayed the treatment due to poverty. Doctors estimated that the tumour may weigh about 50 kilograms (about 110 pounds). They are planning a free surgery to remove the tumour for Chen, according to local media.

People say eat lots of quality food etc to gain weight but I do (as well as a few not so good things) and I don't gain weight.

A few big guys were talking in the gym the other day and said the best thing to have is the powdered baby food if you want to put on weight and to take it instead of normal protein after the gym.
