In short i got a email from paypal asking if i would participate in a survey which involves a 1 hour discussion over the phone. They will pay £65.....i mean is it worth it? to be honest im thinking about it aslong as they dont charge me £65 for the phone call....

Who else got this email?

I wouldn't give them an hour of my time even if it was true, they are the biggest waste of space in the world lol.

could be genuine, its called market research

lots of companies do it and pay people for their opinions

normally they go via market reserach companies to find people

so look in to it, but definately could be genuine

ps, they would only contact certain people that fit certain criteria, so only a few people would get the email

contact paypal and find out more about it....

They keep you talking for an hour then BAM!!! When the relentless questions have worn you down they ask "can you confirm your password please?" :D

How about you give me £65 and I will talk to you for an hour?

If your worried, I have good trust ratings on OcUK so really nothing to be worried about

How is this a good deal?
Paypal are going to pay him.
How about you pay him £65 for an hour's chat?

I got the email too. So maybe a little less "scammy" than thought :o

Edit: Filled in the survey, but apparantly they have "Filled their quota for applicants such as myself"

I had an email from some market research company working on behalf of the national lottery website last year... Likewise, I wasn't sure if it was a scam or not - After calling them, and getting reassurance it was all above board I went ahead... I had an hours call and a couple of surveys to complete, and was paid £150 for my time.

normally they use market research companies (i work for one)

but sometimes they go directly to the end user to save money.

i would have thought paypal would use a market research company but that doesn't mean it isn't genuine.

Can anybody send me a copy? I wouldnt mind sitting there for an hour for £65 to be honest

Aslong as they do pay out.
