What with GTA V taking up 65GB of space on install you will be needing more space in your system for this and other games. So I have dropped the price of this 512GB Plextor SSD. We have limited stock and when it is gone it is gone.

Plextor M6S 512GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive (PX-512M6S) @ £219.98 inc VAT

I think I'd rather have the Crucial BX100 for a fairly substantial saving, and seemingly not much of a performance difference.

Id really like to install GTA V on my NAS... so if you could find it in your heart to do a nice deal on WD Red 4TB drives that would be awesome.

I was after an ssd for my steam games, i did wait but managed to get a good price on a sandisk 256gb ssd from elsewhere.... Unfortunately

I also don't get why people are shocked at the size. My BF4 folder is 60GB, it's not uncommon these days, for a big game especially.

I think I will wait too see how good the port is first before I would spend £200 odd pounds on an upgrade but then again I am not over excited by the launch I think that Star Citizen will be the next game I get really excited about but I do love the Witcher series

Wonder if they're just being lazy with texture compression

I recall someone saying the uncompressed textures for Rage were 1TB...

For a game like GTA there are A LOT OF textures as the map is so huge. Not to mention all the vehicles that move, drive around etc along with all the AI.

As soon as I see a 500GB SSD below £120 it shall be mine!

I just bought 4x Crucial M500 480GB drives for £105 each :o :p But that's not available in the UK.

The 480GB Intel 730s were going for £99.99 after cashback a couple of months ago, I grabbed 2 of them.

The deals come, usually when an SSD is end of line so they're clearing stock in preparation for a new release.

Not trying to be a jerk, but could somebody please explain to me why this is worth £180? the MB/s and IOPS both look middle of the road, yet this is £43 more than a BX100 which it trades specs with
