Get yourself down Asda

You aren't much of an ale drinker though or any sort of drinker are you? With that in mind I can't imagine you particularly liking Dog, there are plenty of nicer ales out there but for £1 a bottle it is pretty decent value.

That's a good point, but I'm always keen to try and learn. :)

However you're right I don't drink much (single figure units per month lol!) - but I tend to prefer wine and spirits these days if/when I do :)

No Asda here :(

No chance of seeing all those hot single teenage mums on benefit, woarrrrr ;)

Newcastle Brown Ale £1 per bottle.

I know its wrong, but it tastes so right!

"Did Yee knar... Colonel J.Porter took 3 Years to create the unique taste of Newcastle Brown Ale. When it was first exhibited it was the toast of the 1928 international Brewing Awards. We still feature the Gold medals on our label to this day. Because its still a big winner with people aall owor thar warld!

Any fans? :)

Not sure if I have a track suit... You have to wear a track suit to get into ASDA don't you?

Yours is just the last in a list of comments along these lines so I'm not picking on you specifically but what is the problem with ASDA? Have I missed something that makes it worse than other supermarkets aside from the Walmart connection?

The problem is we don't have an Asda here so our shopping is dominated by damn Sainsburys and we pay over the odds for day to day things. The alternative is Lidl where the floor is sticky and the staff smell and don't speak English. At least Asda is clean and the clientelle are limited to junkie northern blonde lasses.

i prefer asda to the other supermarkets... probably because its closer to the bars/clubs in my town and is open 24hour... great to go have a mooch at the chinese/indian takeaways to take home..
love the duck pancakes for 2 when its on whoops, £2.40, BARGAIN!

Don't listen to these snobs. Asda is great. A huge range of fresh veg, isles of foreign food. Including large bags of spices for cheap. It's a great shop for us cooks.
