Getting 8800 GTS, but Which make?

As the title asks.

I want a 8800 GTS. But which make would be best?

Or does it not really matter?

I'll be running the games that i can on 3840 x 1024 or 2560 x 1024.

He means evga's step up program

personally i would stear away from them as the step up programs a farce, they have overpriced cards and when new cards are released they have limited quantites available to step-up to, just have a look at theyre forums and you'll see how many people complain..

Although its gaming performance in that res will be terrible .... maybe he wants it for design work ?
 
how much faster is a 8800 gts over a 7800gt ?

just thinking about upgrading for ET, so I can pump up the AA/AF

a lot faster, i upgraded from an X1950 pro and the difference was a lot better than expected, i was getting around 160FPS avg on CSS, now i get 300+
 
i went from a 7900gt extreme to a bfg 8800gts and i gotta say the difference is unbelievable, able to crank up aa/af in games eg bf2 on max settings 90 fps, call of duty 2 everything set at its highest 60- 80 fps even considering im still using a single core cpu. plus the 8800gts is a pretty quiet card for its size
