getting a bit nasty out there.

I love watching the "politictions" bicker on question time, so tonight is gunna be extra special...

This is almost as exciting as Derren Brown predicting the lottery numbers!!oneoneone

*facepalm*

Going to watch Question Time today.

I don't agree with Racism, but I prefer the democratically elected Mr. Griffin to these hippys trying to prevent freedom of the media.
In some countries they'd be protesting in support of freedom of the media, except protesting would be outlawed and they'd have their tongues cut out.
GET A JOB!!! Hippie

Why shouldn't they have the BNP on question time? Labour are a democratically elected party and their claptrap personally annoys me, so we shouldn't let them on TV either?

That stupid blond on channel 4 is far worse than Nick Griffin.

Stupid **** do you understand what a democracy and freedom of speech is.

And why aren't they arresting some of these protesters under terrorist act. They are trying to change policy by causing fear (Throwing stuff and generally being aggressive louts)

amazing that they dont do them for tresspassing, criminal damage etc...

You seem to share the same intelligence quotient as the people on the gates...

Except he is right. The amount of coverage this is getting is pretty much just what the BNP wants. The protests are just playing in to their hands as they get even more coverage from the news coverage of the protests and the BBC get more coverage for Question Time. At the same time you have left wing politicians lining up to say how much of a disagrace it is that the BNP are going on Question Time which gives the BNP even more coverage.

If no one had made a fuss about it then nobody would have cared.

It's not just the coverage. it's the violence, breaking in and the democratic protesters trying to deny democratic rights. It all plays into the hands of the BNP and will probably influence a fair few people to vote BNP.

Why is it that all the protesters seem to be white? Don't think I've seen a single person who wasn't white in the videos.

Are these the people who are really to blame for political correctness gone mad and as a result the racial tension we now face?

The people who hate BMP and protest only make the media put the BMP more in the spot light, thus helping them to get more votes. These protestors are just as stupid as those postmen in the royal mail strikes.

If the BNP held widespread appeal then it might be an issue but that is the idea of a democracy, everyones opinion is heard and judged by the people based on their own views. Griffin isnt going to wake up tomorrow with a country shouting his praises and wondering why this adonis of a man isnt the PM.

God, it looks like they're getting pretty rowdy - i don't envy the police officers there!

+1 Can't wait for QT tonight.

How can anyone hate the BMP? One of the best APCs ever invented! Unless you mean the file format, in which case I still feel you are being a bit harsh...

...

Aint that the truth; the BNP and BBC must be killing themselves; people who have never heard of Question Time will be dozing off in their millions tonight at 10:30 entirely without the aid of sedatives.

Incidentally, you can watch Question Time online at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/question_time/default.stm and add your question to the millions already submitted at http://newsforums.bbc.co.uk/nol/thread.jspa?forumID=7145&edition=1&ttl=20091022074918 :D

Go Auntie!

Damn it! Think I got the wrong debate here ;)

The only real way to protest against the BNP is to use your vote. They've gained more than enough support to appear on the BBC - but I seem to remember hearing their actual votes won hasn't increased - however because enough of Labour's majority went Conservative, the proportions played out in a way that regionally gained them two seats.

The BBC doesn't rig the elections, we hang ourselves as a country by not turning out in big enough numbers to drown out the BNP-supporters who are probably more excited about getting their vote in than the rest of this somewhat apathetic nation.

I used to keep forgetting to go to the polls, so I now do a postal vote by default. It plops down through my front door, I fill it in and sent it out in the work post, done.

I don't see what the fuss is. Let him on Question Time. Ask him nothing but questions on civil liberties, economics, judicial reform, defence, foreign policy, inner city regeneration etc and just watch him crucify himself.

Exactly this. Ask him proper questions and let him hang himself.

Lol at these protesters. We have free speech and democracy in this country, if you don't like Nick Griffin and the BNP, then join/support an opposing party and beat them properly at the ballot box.

I'm pretty positive these protesters are just the usual soap dodging doleites who appear whenever there's something to protest about - whatever it is. Superb irony that they're calling for "fascists" to be censored from speaking. :D

That's what I'm waiting for... However, history suggests (Le Pen in France) the BNP will benefit hugely from this which is tragic.
