Looking to get a cat C license in order to drive vehicles up to 7.5tons, as I passed in 1999 and as such don't have the ability to drive it on my current license.

Has anybody tried it and can advise what it entails? How many lessons did you need and how much did you pay for the lessons and the test? Anybody know anything about it more than me? :D

i passed my cat C in december, had 3 days of lessons 7 hours a day with the test on the 4th day and passed with only 2 minors :)

cost £900 for everything(medical, assesment drive, lessons, test, theory help/tests(booked my self)).

would reccomend the people i went with but i dont no were u live.

only problem is its proving very difficult to get my first job driving.

Not C class, but did my B+E, covered the similar things but on a smaller scale :) Had about 8 hours tuition. Not sure on price as the Univeristy paid for it.

Did it with these guys: http://www.rushtontransporttraining.co.uk/

Best bet is find a trining center and ask them, I'd recommend doing the C+E class though - probably not much more in terms of time and money and you'll be able to drive anything :)

Is it only 7.5T's you want to to drive as C1 will cover you for up to 7.5T GVW, Cat C would allow you to drive vehicles with an even further increased GVW mind you.
