Getting a computer built, is the spec good enough?

No one seems to of pointed out the linking to competitors??? I know its a foreign site but still, Id take it down personally
Also no one seems to of pointed out your inclusion of a rather old and slow HDD

If you aren't afraid to put it together yourself (it's like LEGO) then I can recommend Caseking.de in Germany. I've imported stuff from them before and they were pretty good.

Plus they guy needs help, it would be unethical to delete his thread.:p

Wasnt suggestiing thread delete, just that maybe the OP should delete the link to be safe, granted its overseas but they still sell PC components therefore are technically a competitor, thats how I view it anyway

No worries, that's fair enough. I've removed it now.

Is the problem that it's Seagate, or is the model not good enough? I just chose Seagate because I have an external hard drive from them and have had no problems with it. Any suggestions.

Yeh there is nothing wrong with seagate, but you want a normal speed one, rather than the slower Eco models. Infact, I have 2 seagate drives, which came with a pc I bought years ago, when the athlon64 was cutting edge, still going strong, one as a system drive in my media rig, and one in a caddy as a portable drive.

Seagate is ok its just that model is the slower spin speed (not ideal for system drive really) something like this will do http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-211-SE&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=1279

What about the WD Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 3 6Gb/s? It also has 7200rpm.

Also, this company offers a couple of tests, but I'm not sure whether they just cons to be honest. The first is a test to see all the components are compatible together, which sounds sensible, but if there's very little chance of there being any problems then I'd rather not give them 50 euros. The second is a check on the monitor for defect pixels, which costs another 20 euros... Are they worthwhile?

And while we're on the subject of monitors, is the LG E2240T 21,5" decent? It's got LED Backlight.

Also one final point (honest): The Antec PSU I was suggested doesn't seem to be in stock for the foreseeable future. As a substitute would the Cooler Master GX Series PSU (750W) be alright?

If that motherboard supports Sata3 6gb/s then yeah sweet, Sata2 3gb/s 7200rpm if the motherboard doesnt.

Have read a lot of about the GX series being very poor psu's, if I were you i would go for corsair or even the XFX P1-650S-NLB9 650W...

Can anyone help me regarding these tests and the monitor. I'm looking to order it ASAP, providing all is in order.

This is all I need to know before ordering, so thanks for all the tips and advice guys!
