Getting a DS tomorrow

i was just wondering, is a DS actually worth getting now? For me they still seem very expensive considering they are pretty old now, although some games do look fun.

The DS is only a couple of years old, but it's seriously hit it's stride in terms of games. There's some brilliant stuff out for it.

Check http://www.metacritic.com/games/ds/scores for the best games. I've started at the top of the list and bought all the stuff from genres I'm interested in. I've not been disappointed yet.

I got a DS lite afew weeks ago. It gets more use then my 360 and ps3 put together. Brilliant must have console imo :)

I'm thinking of getting one. It will come in handy whilst waiting in long queues at university registration.

Is it region free? Can you play DS games from Japan on one bought from this country?

Oh and is this web browser from Opera on it now? Can you surf the web from the DS?

Yeah its region free. You have to buy the opera browser but its now avaliable.

Stay away from the browser !!

I'm afraid to say its terrible :(

The rest of the DS I can't complain at but man they went wrong with the browser :D

Whoop

I adore Puyo-Puyo 10th Anniversary, tricky to get hold of though, menus are bewilderingly Japanese, but I just keep hammering the button until I get to the character select screen :D

You can buy it from the game shop on the high street.

Just checked their site and you're right. No review on Gamespot unfortunately. Had the original on the PC years ago, torn between this and Sim City now. :p

EDIT: Says exclusive on the page. Must have got it before everyone else.

I clocked up 5+ hours on Pokemon Diamond and its the kind of game you love to hate. It's addictive and frustrating at the same time. In true Japanese RPG style the random pop-up battles, does my nut in.
