Getting a new PS3

So, this Friday I will (finally) be replacing my broken PS3! The last ones disc drive went so I will need to buy a new one for Last of Us and a few titles coming later on in the year! I do have one question though, do I need to deactivate my PSN or anything on it? I don't have any card details linked or anything to it.

Yes. I made the mistake of simply formatting it before selling. It turns out your PS account will still be linked to that console, so you'll need to deactivate it.
