Where's a good place to get a picture enlarged.

And how big can you go with a normal sized photo with it still being very good quality.
And can any places do post production editing to make the picture look even better or is it not worth it?

depends on if its film, slides, iso, number of pixels if its digital or are you thinking of scanning a 6x4 and blowing that up?

Somewhere on the high street will probably be able to help. What's your normal sized photo? Guessing 6x4 or 7x5? :)

if its a good negative with low grain (iso 100) and exposed correctly taken with a good lens then you can easily blow it up to A1 easily. How big do you want it to be?

I'm not sure. My sisters horse just had to be put down. The horse was her life and she sacrificed so much to be able to afford it. Was thinking if I can find a good pic I could get a nice print and a good quality frame for her.
I'll have to phone her husband and see what pics they have.

Ah, sorry to hear that.

Photo wise, I doubt you need it bigger than A3 since any bigger you are getting into poster size.

yeh I suppose a4-a3 would be plenty big enough. is it worth getting any post production done. As you can tell I don't really now anything about photography. But I do now from the photography section. post production can make some photos look stunning.

If you can get a good digital copy, someone with knowledge of photoshop can do wonders, I am sure someone on the forum can edit it for you, shouldn't take too long (provided it's a half decent original).

When you scan it in, if its the negative, higher the dpi the better.
