Getting Alleyway Closed Down...Advice?

do you think they are trying your door and if you never noticed thats how the other houses were robbed.

Thats a lot of people using that alleyway.
 
Write to your MP, raise the issue at council meetings. It's the latter who have the power to close it. You really have to be proactive to get something done.

They normally come with them. The doors that you need a key to open from the outside but just a handle on the inside.

It's all very well getting alleyways shut but they were put in for a reason, to save loads of time when people are walking. Just because you don't use it doesn't mean mean loads of others don't see it as essential. :)

Yeah, referring to you wondering why they take that router, it's probably so they can smoke and what not. I remember when I was half way through secondry school, everyone walked the parallel road down the housing estate to avoid teachers and parents etc. Cool guys tbh :cool:

Oh, also, how about contacting the school? Maybe they'd be willing to help convince the kids to go a different way especially if it's quicker to go other ways. They might not help, and the kids might not listen, but it's an idea.

Possibly. I have spoken to my neighbour across the road, given him my mobile number to contact me if anything happens. He was nearly forced to move last year, they kept opening his door and banging on his windows etc, until they threw a piece of slab through the bottom of his front door. Things seem to have calmed down with his house though, and seeing as we are the new neighbours, well, newest neighbours on the road, they now target ours for throwing things.
 
Borrow a ridiculously bad mannered dog and a chain and just sit out front scaring people near your garden.
e.g. hide behind your hedge, when someone walks up your path, run towards them and dog will bark, they spill brown in pants and you win. :)

I have a lot of bad luck with dogs so i'd probably get attacked myself :(
 
One (non lethal) option is to make the alley way absolutely stink (and I mean seriously bad) and they'll avoid it. Otherwise place on of those really high pitch sirens on the wall next to the alley way (apparently this does work at dispersing groups of teenagers. Basically make it as nasty as possible

Build a wall? In the dead of night, about 5am, just go and build a wall. Be it bricks or fence and put barbed wire all over it. Or one of those barbed wire 4ft fences that they had in ww2.

Hmm, as for those sirens, that'd just make them pretty determined to smash it to pieces, even if it was high up.
