I've been sitting on this for a little while, and its starting to hit the point where I'm getting more than a little narked off -.-

I'm wondering if others have had this experience as its new to me:

Got my GPU from OC.uk which, developed a fault which is annoying but these thigns happen.

When through the returns process, sent the card off for review and had my RMA approved, but that was over three weeks ago, last I heard the card was being sent off somewhere else (apparently to the manufacturer) and I would get it back "later"

That's it, This is the last I've heard of it from OC.uk and they seem to be happy enough to just leave things as they are. This just seems quite strange, I've never had a defective product have such a long turn around before, is this the norm or should I be doing more to chase this up and find out whats going on?

What are your thoughts?

Depends very much on the components and the manufacturer to be honest. What brand GPU was it? There is a thread somewhere in the graphics forum discussing RMA's with manufacturers. Gigabyte and MSI are the quickest based on that. Asus and other brands do tend to do poorly with RMA taking many weeks to far off lands to the manufacturer.

It was a MSI Graphics card (One of their Twin Frozen ones, nice card actually)

I dunno, I guess I'm used to sending the defective item back and getting a new one within a few days, a week at worst.

I have called about 2+ weeks back, just for an update and got the same thing as the email in "that I would be contacted when they have something" but.. whats taking so bloody long? :P
