Hi,

Well I have a 19" Widescreen Samsung monitor at the moment...(1440*900)

I was just wondering, if I was to buy the 20" widescreen Samsung, and I put it next to it for dual screens, will it look stupid? - the 20" will be the MAIN monitor and the 19" being next to it.

Cheers

Not sure if this helps but I used to have a 17" and a 15" next to each other and I didnt think it looked stupid. The only thing that was slightly annoying was the different in res (1024 is so small!! lol) - things like MSN/TV were fine on the smaller screen but if I had resized apps to fit the 17" perfectly and then had them on the 15" it would have annoying scroll bars :/

Cheers for that pic, I was now thinking what about just getting a 19" normal/standard no widescreen.... For the 2nd screen....cuts costs too ;)

Still samsung etc..just the non widescreen version of the screen I have now.

Or get the VIEWSONIC 19" widescreen...so they are both 19" WS....thats better don't you think?

Depends what you want it for really. If you want to game at a higher res and watch movies on your PC then go for a 20" WS, if your happy with your current res for gaming then go for a 19" 5:4 ratio. 19" 5:4 will be a fair bit taller than your 19" WS though.

<edit> just read your extra additon to your post - why dont you get another 19" WS which you already have? Or how about sell your 19" WS and buy 2x 20" WS's? (or have a 20" WS and a 19" 5:4 - the hight will physically look identical).

Hmm, Selling the monitor I have at the moment, well to be honest I wont make much back on it so no point - Paid £160 though, I will get £100..but postage etc...

If I got the Viewsonic 19" 1440*900 (I can source for £100) then I think putting that aside will be ok....don't you think? Its only going to have MSN/Gmail email/calculator small things on the additional one.

Main screen will be the Samsung...

I guess its all about personal preference, do the 2 different screen's look similar (i.e similar stand/bezel)? My old 17" and 15" LG were both in the same model range and look quite similar (15" had a slightly wider bezel though) and I thought it looked fine paired with the 17".
