Getting back into Gaming…is £1000 budget possible?

Dropped to a 1tb ssd to try keep price down, but did go over budget as you asked..went with 4070super..about 10% paster than a 7800XT, but much better raytracing(would use minimum on that), but also has dlss, which you will use
Put the 27" 180hz ips 1440p display in also(cheapest one here). but a slightly better mobo in also..not that partial to the prime boards..vrm's suck and get very hot( ok for current but if you upgrade down the line you'd have to look carefully)
different case..this is just an alternative to the build above..just showing slightly different componeent...if you shop around you can save also..., loose rgb on ram, same money, drop back down to the 7800xt etc...if you can squeeze it, go for the 2tb ssd though..games fill up you space rapidly
alternative psu..tuf 750w or corsair rm750e both 89.99 also

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,342.87 (includes delivery: £0.00)

Really appreciate the replies thanks.

If the budget was pushed to £1500 would it make any difference to the spec or would I need to spend much more for any real benefit?

You would have the best gaming CPU on that platform.

It gives you better FPS and also what it does it gives you is more FPS at the most demanding parts of a game ,known as the 1% and 0.1% low meaning Less chance of stuttering (smoother).

Thanks for that…will have a think about what to do!
