Coming up on two years ago I broke up with the love of my life, a young lady called Lizzy. We had been together for nearly 3 years but after a change in jobs she was annoyed that I wasn't seeing her very often and despite this she was still demanding expensive gifts on a regular basis so I decided that enough was enough and we broke up.

From there it was downhill, she was on the market for a month before she ran off with my best friend Graham and each time I saw them together a little piece of me died. Their relationship has been far from smooth and she has cheated on him twice, once with me a year ago when I was up north for a wedding. It felt very strange at the time, I did really enjoy myself but it reopened old wounds that hurt too much and I swore that it would never happen again.

The last few months have been very difficult for them, first she broke her glasses resulting in Graham having to buy her a new pair and then at the end of September she was the victim of a brutal attack that left her needing plastic surgery. The plastic surgery was done last week and was very successful so I was very surprised when she called me last Saturday in tears and told me that Graham was planning on leaving her for another woman called Porsche. This stayed on my mind for the rest of the day and I thought a good nights sleep would help but the whole of Sunday all I could do was think about her and what it felt like to be inside her so on Sunday I called Graham and had a chat with him, he remains my best friend despite running off with my girl and I offered to help him out of a difficult situation and take her back.

Heading up to Newcastle tomorrow (via a work meeting in Leeds so a free trip :D) to pick her up. I'm bouncing around like a 5 year old that has been fed a 6 pack of full fat Coke.

cough ;)

My ex was called Lizzie too, she was the sort of girl that made a lot of noise but despite that I'd take her back tomorrow. She was a bit small however and sometimes I found it hard to get inside.

I'd make a comment about having to fold in half but it might conjure up some painful mental imagery :D

Sums it up nicely :D Love the Elise. They seem to keep their value quite well too which is always a big brucey bonus. Well for the sellers anyway.

I'm buying it back for what he paid for it 2 years ago so zero depreciation for him in 2 years though he has done quite a bit of work in that time. The 111s seems to have bottomed out around £8k so if I do need to sell her again (hopefully not) I shouldn't loose a huge amount. Not many 10 year old cars that are still worth 30+% of their original price.

18 hours and counting..........

Same, when I read the title I thought it belonged in GD.

I didnt venture in when the thread first popped up but after seeing that it is still in motors after afew days it might be worth a look. The over enthusiastic 3rd party wasnt a Tesco.com driver was it? One of my colleagues (not the one that hit my car) managed to reverse into and onto the front of an S1 elise a month or two back. Anyhoo looks nice and tidy, I would say enjoy but tbh I dont think thats going to be a problem :D

Not sure of the insurance company but it was hit when a young lady didn't bother to look when pulling out of a junction. She was all for keeping insurance companies out of it until she got the quote for £3k

On a train to Newcastle, 2 hours to go :D

Crikey, 82k on the clock and it's up for £9k!? Guess it shows the appeal of these cars, my VX is up for £15k and has 20,000 miles on it, hah!
