It's quite common not to turn it on or set it up, and it's not well known that bank security is so shoddy this this is something you need to do.Sims have pincodes why she turn it off or not set it up

yea but if your using 2 factor authentication you'd think you'd keep your master key safe, not under plant pot/door mat outside the front doorIt's quite common not to turn it on or set it up, and it's not well known that bank security is so shoddy this this is something you need to do.
I bet if you asked people on the street 95% would have no idea that there was another type of PIN other than the one the phone asks you to set up as a backup when face/finger print doesn't work.Sims have pincodes why she turn it off or not set it up
shows how lacking in security these people are.I bet if you asked people on the street 95% would have no idea that there was another type of PIN other than the one the phone asks you to set up as a backup when face/finger print doesn't work.
It's not well understood that this is an issue. And personally I'd never really thought about it,and never seen it raised in any of the common security advice, certainly not raised when setting up 2fa in the first place on any of my accounts.yea but if your using 2 factor authentication you'd think you'd keep your master key safe, not under plant pot/door mat outside the front door
If there's one takeaway from this, I think it's time to turn off message/email previews from the lockscreen for me.Having your 2FA code pop up in an email notification that can be read on your phone whilst it's locked seems to be root cause
Also need to question the security of the lockers.
Does anyone know how to set a PIN on an eSim?
What does PIN on an eSim even mean? There isn't a physical SIM to remove?@Scam Settings > Mobile Data > SIM PIN if you're on iOS.
If your phone is switched off and subsequently stolen then no calls can be made if the phone is somehow unlocked. I have mine set but only out of habit from back when I used physical SIMs.What does PIN on an eSim even mean? There isn't a physical SIM to remove?
Thanks.@Scam Settings > Mobile Data > SIM PIN if you're on iOS.
What @uvarvu said I guess. It's just another layer of security. Probably unnecessary on an eSIM but I'm sure hackers have/or will find a way to port eSIMs on a stolen phone soon enough. What does PIN on an eSim even mean? There isn't a physical SIM to remove?
