Getting banned from servers :/

I've been banned from countless servers too. It's always players/admins that suck and can't imagine that anyone could be better than them. I'd just love to see how they react when they head onto a server filled with half-decent players ;)

Yeah that gets on my proverbials something chronic. It is bunny hopping basically and shows someone that can't play the game properly. We've banned it from play within our clan as unsportsmanlike however we never ban players for doing it as it's not against the game rules and it's not really an exploit, just crap playing.

If we suspect dodgey play we watch the player for a bit as a spectator and make a decision. We've never banned so far, there are just some better players out there but we do promote fair play in a big way and bunnyhopping is just poor form.

We also don't play with Last Stand or the poor mans kill of the death nade (Martyrdom).

Bunny in COD4 is not that effective, i still get them but Dolphin catches me out now & then.

meh.. over zealous or just plain jealous server admins have been around since the dawn of gaming. Any competent player will have had run-ins with them. Just find another server.
 
You're not a Proper gamer until you get randomly banned from Nub run servers. Just laugh & know that you Pawned them & there was nothing else they could do apart from kick/ban you. I take it as Proof that they Sux & love the buzz of them admitting defeat by kicking or banning me.

play at a decent level and bunny jumping is part of the game.calling it unskilled is just plain daft.if i jump round a corner avoiding the camping git or claymore that is there ninety times out of a hundred.it is more skilled.is it not .as i have killed them by part of the game that was already there but utilised to maximum performance.as for martydom i put that on on easy servers for a laugh :p cause in serious clan/wars/ladders/leagues matches there are no perks.just you and your gun and tactics.

people who ban other people from servers for silly things like jumping or martydom or any other part of the game pls address your problems to the games maker.or you could just take out peoples space bar :D

If the developers didn't want you to be able to jump about you wouldn't be able to... I have been banned from servers for jumping, even though I got warnings, its just too much of reflex action for me. But why is that poor form? I can do it, its well within the confines of the gameplay mechanics, the person im up against is playing the same game as me and is just as capable at jumping around to.

Plus spectating people is possibely the worst thing you can do if you suspect them of cheating, I don't know if you noticed on killcam / spectator, but it isn't parsing every millisecond of the game-events to you, so people tend to look "better" in it, they will appear to make very quick-snapped aimed shots to the people they kill. That isn't what they are looking at on their screen, you just aren't recieving enough information for it to be showing you a 100% accurate view of what they are seeing.

Also if they are cheating it is either extremely obvious to the point you wouldn't need to spectate them, or it just isn't detectable by the eye and your gut feeling. It isn't worth getting all paranoid about it, either PB will sort them out or it won't.

Then theres servers that try to enforce those silly rules they make up on the fly based on who pwnt them that day... Its your server, fair enough... but get a mod to restrict whatever it is you don't like, or even better yet go and play a game thats more suited to what you're looking for as CoD4 obviously isn't it.
 
If people wish to say that you can't bunny hop, dolphin dive, camp or use certain weapons on there server then that’s their privilege. Just like on my server I ban people for swearing as I don't wish to read it. Plus i have found that doing these things holds no advantage over just playing normally.

If you feel you must do what they don't want you to do then you should just leave rather than being a pain in the backside about it.
 
I find it difficult to believe you have been banned from 11 completely seperate servers for "being too good"
More than likely you were abusing a bug of some sort or ignoring server rules to be quite honest

they pay the bills as you have said its their server, its your fault for not logging off if you dont agree with the server rules
The onus is not on them to restrict it because they have done exactly that by removing the problem element from their community (that would be you)

Alternatively, you can grow up, and just find another server without all of the above. ;)

Does that mean i have to walk up to people and let them kill me to not get banned? Please, there are plenty of servers out there that have NO RULES and they'll still ban people, purely because they're too good...

Never been banned from CoD4 servers, mainly because i suck at it, but i've been banned (that i know of) from 5 quake 4 servers, 13 quake 3 servers, and have been kicked for winning at least 50 times... ridiculous tbqfh
