Getting BSOD connecting old IDE drive

I need to get some data off my old IDE drive, and onto my new PC but when I connect it to the MB I get a BSOD in the boot sequence and it just keeps rebooting.

The MB is Asus A8R32 MVP and already has 2 SATA drives connected. The IDE drive is a Seagate 120GB.

Any ideas?

Check bios for boot sequence. Make sure its not trying to boot from it.

In theory as the old drive was the system drive from the old PC - wouldn't just boot anyway in that case?
