ive recently upgraded my cpu/ motherboard and ram.

now i didnt reinstall windows as i was under the impression with win 7 didnt need to. (currently reinstalling to see if it fixes it)

basically i am happily playing a game and boom bsod with cannot restart ati driver error.

ive tested the cards individually and they appear to be fine. and ive reinstalled the drivers.

what else should i be doing?

Could be motherboard driver conflicts. I know some people manage to get away from doing a fresh install when changing the motherboard but it's still best to do a fresh install on the safe side. What temps is the CPU reaching?

60c with my oc.

im just doing a dummy install on a old hardrive so as not to put to may writes to my ssd. fingers crossed.

i did run driver cleaner but that hasnt helped.

only other thing i can think is the motherboard is faulty but want to make absolutley sure before i send it backand get NFF.

what drivers have you loaded for the 6950's and what psu have you got.

well i initially thought it could be my psu its a 800w bfg, bout 3 years old.

i get the feeling its not the problem as i could not get a bsod looping heaven last night.

using the 11.9 drivers.

all worked fine on my old ud3r

thought id again test each gpu individually and this time round trying to load my previously 100% stable oc on the motherboard was met with a bsod. ive had the board less than a week. even putting the max safe volts was met with the same.

sound faulty?

Put your cpu back to stock to see if it makes a difference. I had a similar problem to yours and thats what fixed it for me.

have you tried running memtest ?

does the event viewer show any errors, have you turned off the setting to reboot on bsod so you can get more detail off the error ?
