Hi as the title says I keep getting the error message "cmos checksum error defaults loaded" when I start the pc up, gotten the pc from a friend of mine who didnt need it anymore as he hasnt used it for over a year, the motherboard on the pc is a foxconn 865a01, I have tried going for fail-safe defaults in the bios but it doesn't let me do anything at the save confirmation, and have to reboot the pc to get out of it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

Yeah you need to replace the CMOS battery. It's a CR0232 battery you need. Replace it and then configure you BIOS settings again. Job done ;)
