Getting colder - heating on yet?

computer...and I my house (parents) has coal powered central heating and we really can't be bothered to light it

Still not cold enough today although I'm off out later so I bet my partner put's it on. I did fire it up today to check it's all working actually I had to let some more water into the boiler.

The gf has decreed that the thermostat must now be set to 18 (after negotiation), after being off all summer. Although I go to bed later and get up earlier than her, so its off all night ;)

I've managed to resit - don't think it will be long though!

I felt the cool air last week and just thought to myself, hmm time to stop wearing t-shirts to work perhaps.

Heating at this time of the year? I agree with some of the above posters! Are you a girl? ;)

Heating will not be on till November. I have decided. Hence why I am wearing shorts right now. Until then it's everyone under duvets and sleeping bags in the lounge.

no not yet ,just got an energy moniter from the library(tried a thread on this but zero replies) and we are trying to cut our power down though its only about £25 mnth gas and same electric per month overall

Just found out this rented house only has electric central heating ! (with radiators)

we only have one shoddy gas stove in the house but.. seems like we will be relying on that for the brisk quarter of the year. BRRRrrr....

My bedroom normally warm even when its cold out due to
pc on almost 24/7
2 reptile tanks + heatmat / build
combi boiler in room next to me door allways open due to its in attic

The wife wants the dam fire lit every night as she says is cold and it's nice to have a real fire going. I just do as I'm told and light it, then sit there sweating.

Poofs !!!

I am sitting here in my dressing gown & was standing on my back door step Nekkid at 5.30am this morning pontificating the Worlds problems & looking at the Stars.
I Love it when it's Fresh & crisp. Central heating makes you weak & ill.

Haven't got the heating on at home yet, just putting some extra layers on, but the 'men' I work with insist on having the heating on in the office. It's absolutely baking in here!!

my rented flat gets seriously cold in the winter, the bathroom especially, non double glazed and the bathroom wall is only one brick thick :o it iced over in there last winter

Its getting a bit nippy, but l think you tend to feel the cold a bit due to us having a bit of a heat wave, so out come's the jumper on go the slipper's. Heating has to come on to dry are cloths due to the rain and its piling up otherwise no.

Yip thats cold bledd, but when l was little we had a outside bog, man that was cold winter's were a lot colder then too.
