Cover yourself with white foiundation to make you look really white and pasty.
Paint your finger nails black, put lots of black eye make up on. Put black lip stick on and die your hair black
Then wear some black cloths and a long coat or jacket all in black.

And there you have it, you are now goth :D

Or do what ever i said there but in reverse, so where it was black it will be white and where it was white it will be black. No harm in being different :p

thats pretty much the plan, but was wondering if theres anything else i should be trying to grasp in my rendition of the goth roll, you know, grasping the overwhelming depression, wearing kintey clothing and the like

is it a real "goth" pubcrawl? or just people dressing in black with white makeup on saying they are goths?

if you research the actual goth subculture, you'll find out its nothing like what you think.

look up real goth bands (sisters of mercy etc) and listen to them. get some tight trewsers, preferably velvet, and a loose flowing shirt. should do you.

It's all in the atitude. You need to stare people out who aren't anywhere near your size and mutter weird witch sayings while standing in the corner. And don't forget to go mental when really depressing music comes on. And make lots of stabbing motions.

That's pretty much what I see at Krazyhouse on a saturday night :(

that would be because the KH is full of idiots.

i dont think a real goth would ever step foot in the KH tbh. Its full of emo's and otherwise annoying people.

sorry yer, its really just a bit of fun. We tend to do silly pub crawls for peoples birthdays makeing fun of ourselfs and various groups (see my Rouges Gallery pic) not my idea this one, but should be interesting none the less

I do actually find the goth subculter pretty intersting and appealing to some degree, but its not really me at the end of the day. (although that doesn't stop me looking longingly at Suicide girls every now and again)

As a none goth it rocks  K2 and K3 all the way. I hardly ever bump into any "goths" in there, but i don't venture into K1 it's not my type.

What is this!!? I'm neither an "emo" or an annoying person* and the place is lively and cheap to drink in, its great after a night in town to finish yourself off in and get mashed to cheesy music.

*hotly debated, but not proven...

my goth friends have a thing for scary contact lenses that could get some good looks from people ;)

it used to be decent, about a year ago, but these days its terrible. they have turned the good old K3 into an emo-fest and the general level of music has degraded. nowadays i only ever go after a good few jars in town and several tequila's in Bar Cava, when i used to go completely sober and drink newky brown, £3 for two (its now gone up, damn them)

Going by modern parlance, wear a hoodie and slightly baggy jeans, beg people for cigarettes, drink cheap cider and pick fights for no reason.

Goths; Charvers with a different dress code.

Cradle of filth etc are nothing to do with Goth music. Black Metal admitedly borrowed heavily from the more peculiar segments focusing on the silly vamp look, but it is still black metal.

Fields of the Nephilim are still for me the definitive band from the end of that age.

Anyway...if you want to dress like a goth for some peculiar reason just wear black. Or purple. The make-up thing is more Marilyn Mansony dress code.
Although this made me giggle: http://80music.about.com/c/ht/00/07/How_80s_Goth0962933956.htm

I thought they were emos. You don't see many young goths (proper ones... long blach trench coats and white faces) around these days.

In my experience, goths are pretty well behaved too. This new wave of baby emos are a bunch of brats though. They hang around McDonalds wearing t-shirts for bands who they've probably never heard of, or whose lead singers died before they were born. I despise them.

Nah - emos mope, have floppy hair and no sense of confrontation. When told 'Go write a poem about it...', they will.

I love being able to pull the "You weren't there, MAAAAAAN! I saw them live, MAAAAAAN!" card on cards. Goddamn, I'm elitist.
