getting into safe mode

If i press f8 to go into safe mode nothing happens but if i restart my comp before bootup i will get the option to go into safe mode but cannot move my cursor keys to select safe mode, tried 2 keyboards, any ideas?

are your keyboards usb? - if they are check your bios options so usb in bios is controlled.

i had a similar problem and it turned out i have a faulty P2P keyboard port so im now using usb keyboard

yea its usb ill check it in bios
