Getting into teaching... advice needed.

Just as a point, most schools won't want computer science as a focus anymore. New GCSEs specs have a 80% written exam including coding and 20% coursework.

You have to teach it to be able to take the exam ??

I have never been a memory person, I'm a resource person.

I can deliver the resources fine. Just don't expect me to remember them until I have used them for a long while.

I'm sure this is fine in teaching as it's all about planning, if you can plan your lesson in detail then you can deliverify the content.

Planning is only part of it. If you don't know the knowledge behind the lesson, how can you change things as you go / use differentiation. I think you'll find some things take longer or go quicker than you anticipated. What then?

Put simply, if you aren't 100% comfortable with the knowledge aspect, you shouldn't be teaching it.
