So i currently have a 3700x and a x470 Gigabyte gaming 7 wi fi, had it nearly a year and thinking of moving on again, I went to Ryzen from a i7 7800x which didnt make much difference tbh.
It is probably boredom for my reasons for having a change again.
Was thinking of going with the new intel and z490 but looking at reviews they don't seem to be much of an upgrade at all.
Would be interested to see what your guys opinions are on the new intel chip choices. And any ideas what i could do to improve my all ready great performance. Do we know if the new ryzens will fit in the x470 motherboard I have, as to be honest it is probably the best board I have had for many a year, and I have had a few!.
Any way your views will be much appreciated.

Z490 is just Intel squeezing Skylake for every last penny, your 3700X is from a superior architecture and platform at this point.

:( I'm in a similar position with a 3700x, but I have a b350-f.

I would like to have a second machine and upgrade the b350 so I was thinking I could relegate this system to being my second machine and get some upgrades for my main system. But there's not really an upgrade path that makes sense cost wise. I talked my self out of hitting the confirm order and waiting until some next gen graphics cards and the 400 series come out but with them not being delayed I'm not sure which path to take.

3800X here. The XT stuff seems interesting, but the new GPU's are what I'm looking to spend money on. (If they price them well)
