Getting loading problems and Audio problems with BF 2142

Hi

I am getting loading problems on BF 2142 all my drivers are up todate the problem is that when load maps some times they load and other times BF2142 just stops responding when loading and some times when i playing online.

There is also another thing when clicking to join game my audio sticks like a stuck record then plays alright. :confused:

This is the spec im running

Windows XP Pro
AMD 3400+ Socket 754
Geil 1GB Ram
Gaidward 7900gs 256MB
Gigabyte motherboard ( GA-K8NE-RH )
OCZ PSU 620W
200GB Sata harddrive

I have had the loading issue, I've stopped playing 2142 for the time being (only temporary, I go back and fourth between games).

I found if I played the game straight after a boot I never encounter the issue. Maybe I have something nasty running in the background.

You need to delete a file in your bf2142 folder called radial.mdb

Should fix it for you

(Make sure you can view hidden files first)

there is not file in mine with that name only radial.cdb

That's the file, rename or delete and all will be back to normal.

Find it using WinRAR to explore the directory.

That's what I had to do. Make a backup though incase you need to patch the game later.

i done that my audio still sticks tho when joining a game like a bloody stuck record and the audio drivers are up to date. :mad:

What graphics drivers you using? I found I had this aswell and found that it was my drivers causing the error (I hadn't updated for months).
