Getting mic to work in css

Just trying to get my mic to work but no joy, it's plugged in and working and when I click Test Microphone in the settings tab I get lights in the sound bar.

In the keyboard options, voice communication is K so I press that during a game and I get an orange speaker at the side of the screen. I then speak and no one can here what I'm saying, I think I'm just doing something simple wrong.

You'll need to tick "amplify mic" within your sound settings in control panel under the mic section. It's in the advanced section.

You can also do a mic sound test within the same settings. If you sound faint go advanced and tick amplify and retest.

Think I've done that, when I do a mic test in css>options>voice I can here myself speaking in my speakers, do I need to press k to speak during a game or just speak, both ways it doesn't work but at least I'll know what I should be doing.
