I have just purchased a new pc and the cpu comes with a standard heatsinks and fans, what i want to know is can someone suggest a high performance and very quiet CPU heatsink and fan or just the fan?

Also after purchasing from OcUK a PowerColor ATI 512mb X1800XT i found this gfx card fan to be very loud so again can someone give me a suggestion on a replacement fan for my gfx card that keeps it as cold as possible and that runs very quiet

Thanks for any suggestions :D

Fatal1ty version is likely to be louder than the VF700-CU.

where did u get that from?
I have a Fatality, and I can't hear it at all at 5v. Even if I put my ear near it I cannot hear it.
Its a great cooler, well worth £30
Idle' about 38-40 @ 5v, not sure about the load. will check later when I'm home. Never tried 12v so it couild possible get cooler, but Ive gone for quietness rather than noise. And at 40deg idle, its a great performer

Glad I purchased this. Quietend my BFG GTX a great ammount.

Dan, from the fact that the fatality version has a faster and higer CFM fan on it than the vf700cu that it is based on. Fairly simple really. I didn't say it was noisy, I said it was likely to be noisier.

and it puts yet more money in that mans pocket!! Grrrr ain't never buying anything Fatal1ty branded! fortunately most of it seems over priced to compensate for his share of the money!

Back on topic go with the Zalman (non Fatlity) for your graphics card and the artic freezer for your CPU unless you have room for something giant like the evo-120 from Akassa which should be whisper quiet with it's 120mm fan!

I would still got for the freezer, considering mine can be run passively if needed. Or just use speedfan to lower it to 1200rpm... inaudible
