Well this is going to take till tomorrow as they seem to have capped the download speed at 10-15kbps ... 469mb file

I hate to hijack but i was just about to post a similar thread as ive got some kingston pc-2 8500 arriving soon lol
I have a gigabyte DS3P motherboard currently running geil ultra ram pc2-6400 ,running at a speed of 400mhz (x9)
now im abit thick when it comes to RAM so how do i get it running at 1066, do i also have to set it too 533 ? if so do i have to lower the cpu multiplier which is set to 9 right now ? because that increase is seriously going to overclock my CPU isnt it ? also do i need to adjust my "System Memory Multiplier" which is set to 2.00 i think
any advice would be helpfull![]()
AYe I think if you set it too 533mhz at 1:1 you'll seriously stretch that CPU at 9 multi, lowering it, if possible will alleviate this, but then I think you put the strain on the MCH? increasing ram and MCH voltages might work, or the ram might not like that high a FSB
I might be wrong though.
Just realized my cpu has a 10.5x multiplier on it (motherboard did it automatically apparently). Could that be whats preventing me from running the ram at 1066mhz?
I know download got to about 10% and just failed on me...what chipset has 469mb drivers.
Will try it.try changing your tRC to 40-45
