Getting points removed from licence - worth it?

Hi,

I've got 3 points on my licence (SP30) which has expired so I can apply to have them removed but is there actually any point in doing so? I still have to declare them to insurers for a little while longer yet anyway but I'm under the impression that they won't actually be considered for any potential future convictions if they are still on the licence but expired?

Don't see what difference it makes. When I sent mine away years ago they literally put a line through them and sent it back....only actually got a new counterpart when I changed address

Just wait till you get more and they remove the old ones for you

or get a ban and they all go

Since you'll be able to shred your counterpart in about 4 weeks time, I doubt it would be worth it .

As above, wait until Jan 1st and then shred your counterpart. Job jobbed.

They charge you £20 for it and all they do is simply put a line through it with Biro anyway.
