Getting Sky installed - LOS problem

Hi folks, well I was supposed to be having sky installed today but we have very poor signal being the bottom flat out of four. So the only alternative is to have the dish installed on the roof and a cable run down to our flat. Luckily this doesn't cost any extra than a normal installation so that's all booked now.

Question is I presume it would be the polite thing to ask the other residents of the building before we go ahead and get cable secured to the outside of their walls before we do so. I can't see this being a problem though as they all have Aerial cables running down from the roof to their flats.

Anyone had similar issues in the past?

Do you own the flat??

I own a leasehold flat and it is managed (I pay a service charge etc)

My management company FORBID any external audio/visual appendages...

Really sucks

Hope you've checked it all out before having the work done.

Sean :)

Yes we own the flat, obviously leashold. But seeing as there are as I said Aerials on the roof already I really can't see it being an issue.

Well we're part of the management company, the lady on top also owns where the two in the middle are rented.

So will get in touch with her, and ask the other two flats if I could get their landlords numbers etc.

You will have to aks the owner of said roof, ie the managing agency will let you know the deal.

So its freehold?

You can do whatever you want, as long as the other freeholders agree.

No it's not in a conservation area.

And yeah I suppose we technically own 25% of the freehold.
