Getting the most out of my current mobo...

Hi there,
Currently have the setup below, and am looking to upgrade it as far as possible without getting a new motherboard and basically whole new system!
So far, I've bought a new x2 6000+, as this is just about the highest CPU the motherboard can handle - Abit didn't release a bios update to support phenoms before they shut down. Have also got 2gb more ram.
Need to add a video card, new PSU and a cooler. Have about £300 to spend. Want reasonable games performance, but just as importantly want quiet running when idle. Not fussed about overclocking, and have heard that the 6000+ won't do too well anyway.
Was thinking of:
OcUK value GTX260 - will this system bottleneck this card? How good a card is it worth getting for this mobo / CPU?
Be quiet dark power pro 750W (is this about the right amount of power?)
Sunbeam core contact freezer
Sound reasonable?
Any changes?
Cheers

for that price get the 260 card, psu wise would imagine a 520w will be fine have a look at the coolermaster 520w or be quiet 550w, sunbeam cooler will be fine.

More random internet searching.
Nvidia site says the GTX 260 needs a 500W psu - so either of those two are fine.
But, i also read somewhere else that it needs a 36A 12V rail.
Not really sure what that means.
The Be Quiet 550W has 4 20A 12V rails.
Is this OK?
And... stupid newbie question... what are voltage rails?

You'd need at least 36A 12V rail if you had 2 GTX 260 running, but not one.

A GTX 260 has a maxium power usage for 182w 15.2A and most systems won't need more than 10A for the rest.

THe Be Quiet 550w is more than enough. Pretty much any PSU 450w+ sold by OC will be good enough.

Voltage rail refers to a single voltage provided by the power supply.
Most PSU refer to having many seperate +12v rail, but few do. Mostly it's just overload protection.
