Lately ive been getting tired really easy. like even after just 6-8hours of being awake i am getting tired, even if i havnt done much at all. and the amount of sleep doesnt help, i can sleep for 12 hours or more and ill still be getting tired after a couple hours of being awake.
I can even sleep until its impossible to get any more sleep and ill get tired in about 6-8 hours of being awake.
Is there anything in my diet that could be causing this? Its been a pretty high fiber diet lately with more then enough meat and green vegetables so iron shouldnt be a problem
Im perfectly healthy so i dont want medical advice. I havnt had a a sign of a cold in over 6 or 7 months.
I have a little bit of stress lately but i usaually have some stress to a certain extant so that shouldnt be much of a factor.
I dont drink much caffeine at all so im not having withdrawal from that.
Has anyone got any ideas why i can only stay awake for about 8 hours before im really tired again?

Theres your problem! :D

I really can't say...seriously. Maybe your just not doing enough and getting bored which makes you feel tired.

Even if i do go out and do stuff i get tired.
Im finding im getting tired even when i go driving and thats really not a good combination :(

do more physical exercise, go to local park and shoot some hoops or something for a couple of hours a day, go for a jog etc etc. Ive found since i restarted training im less tired :)

Tom.

I know you say you're perfectly healthy but have you been to a doctor?

A friend of mine thought he was perfectly healthy too but got tired often. A doctor found he had mild diabities and after he adjusted his eating habits to accomodate he was fine.

I'd go down the doctors and get a full range of tests done. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the replys so far :)

I forgot to mention in my original post that we have 2 tiles broken in the shower and they are completely gone, the whole is covered up with a plastic cover and electrical tape. But the walls around the rooms around the shower are still going moldy, like a really dark green almost black mold. We have called up to get it fixed a few times now (we first told them about it back in January) and the tiller still hasnt come
Could the mold somehow be making me tired?

Lol, probably won't have any effect on you. As suggested go see a doctor, and try and do something active like going to the gym or doing some sports.

I hope you release mold can contribute to heath problems.

I have knee injuries at the moment so a lot of sport is out. I will need to do something that doesn't effect them to badly.
Im also using this year to let all my previous reoccurring injuries from soccer time to heal.
So anyone know of a low impact sport or something that i could do that wont cause too much strain?
Swimming is out, its almost winter here

Best thing to do is see a doctor, if you are always tired it will be a problem.

The mold may attack, maybe put a lock on the bathroom door; i'm serious

have you thought you might be having to much sleep? i find if i sleep for 12hours i feel more tired when i get up than if i had 8hours, though that doesnt tend to have long term effects, just makes you feel groggy for part of the day

also have you messed with your sleeping pattern? i had a week of going crazy with my sleep pattern and it messed me up a bit, i would get up feeling not tired in the slightest (which is strange for me, i normally cba to open my eyes etc) and then after a few hours id start to feel tired, then at about 4pm in the afternoon id be too tired to even move

I had stuffed up my sleeping pattern but its getting back on track now.
It doesnt matter how little sleep or how much sleep i get, i still end up tired stupidly quick :(

Zip,

Do you find yourself losing weight too?

Nah, ive put on 1.6kilograms since i last weighed my self about 2 months ago.
I was 64kgs, im now 65.6kgs

Edit: my weight does usally go up and down from day to day do i could be a bit lighter then 65.6kgs tomorrow

Ah, i was going to say my girl has thiriods (sp?) and she has had it for over a year and only just found out.

Shes always feeling tired, and losing weight is an issue.

I have gotten like his a few times, i usually get tired like this once every 3 or 4 months. I have know idea why.
Last time i was like this i tried combating it with redbull and other energy drinks but they did nothing at all to keep me awake

It could be something as minor as being anaemic, I became pretty anaemic recently whilst finishing off my chemotherapy and I was so lethargic they had to give me a two-pint blood transfusion to keep me going whilst in hospital - I even passed out in the toilet, not good! After that I was fine, I just needed a kick start to help my system recover.

As plenty of people have said, definitely go see a doctor - if he's worth his salt he'll get a blood test sorted out, that can indicate a huge range of possible causes which they can help you with :)
