Generally I struggle to get out of bed...

usually up for 6:20 to get into work for 8:45, however this morning I got up at 5:15 - felt much more awake and was in the office for 7:35 - meaning I can be home for 4pm! win-win! :D

Am thinking at 5:15 I am in more "light sleep" than "deep sleep"?! :)

Does anyone else get up early and feel better for it?

up at 8:30. in the office before 9.

my commute takes me 7 minutes.

i feel better for the extra sleep tbh. :)

At the very latest (this means in at 9am) it takes you 23 minutes to get up, shower etc and have breakfast?

I’ve always been an early bird and found it the best time to think and get moving with things. It’s amazing to see what you can achieve before all the sleepy heads come in and wake up mid-morning.

Awake at 7, out of bed at 7:20 leave the house at 8

if it half term in to work at 8:30, if its not half term then in at 8:55.

Well at the temp job I'm in at the moment, my boss says I can start any time from just after 8am to 10am so depending on gym I'm normally up at 7:30 and aiming to leave by about 8:15-8:30 and takes me nearly an hour to get to work though :(.

Atm I'm up at 7am to be in the office for 8, although at my previous office I used to get in for 8:30.

Although that's probably going to change when I move offices again.

I struggle with the 7am get-ups, regardless of what time I go to bed the night previous. However, I can go to sleep at 2am and get up at 8am no problems. Must just be psychological with me.

It's all about sleep cycles, you go through loops when sleeping, something like 30 mins light sleep, followed by an hours "deep sleep". If you wake up during a deep sleep phase you'll feel bad for the first few hours, maybe even for the entire day.

Here's a calculator to work out when you should go to SLEEP, not to bed but when you actually fall asleep so that you wake up at the right point in the cycle.

Up at 7:30, out the door by 8:15 and usually at work by 8:45 depending on traffic and friskiness of girlfriend… sometimes her days off coincide with my working days ;)

Get up at 04:30, in work for 06:00 on morning shift,

Get up at 07:30, in work for 13:00 on afternoon shift.

I find it easier to wake up at 04:30 rather than 07:30 for some strange reason, only get around 4-5 hours sleep aswell:confused:

The sleep patterns are a total **** though, impossible to get into a routine that suits.

I wake up at 8:15, go switch the Gaggia on, get dressed etc, go down have a little tidy maybe even make some lunch for that day if I can be bothered, get some toast on make a nice flat white sit and chill for 5 mins. leave about 9:05 and get to work for 9:10 or so depending on how early I meet some of the guys for a coffee before getting to work for 9:15-9:20 ready to start at 9:30.

Thomas.

Mine varies depending on the time of year. During December I can be as up as late as 8am but in June I'll be up between 4 and 5am! I've arrived at work at 7 a few times but left early as a result. No chance of doing that in the Winter though, too dark and cold!

My alarm goes off at 6:30 and I continue to hit snooze until it gets to 7:10... I fall out the bed and proceed to the toilet, do my business in there and then go catch my lift at 7:30. Get to work at 7:45 and don't start to 8 so perfect timings
