Getting upgrade bug

Its got me and thinking of upgrading to a I5 will i really see much of a improvement though, i do light gaming, video encoding and normal stuff, i would want to overclock as well.
 
You would see a difference but wether or not it'd be worth the extra money is doubtful. A Q6600 at 3.5ghz is still an exceptional cpu and will carry on doing encoding (which is the main reason for going i5 I'd have thought) and I reckon you'd only see an improvement when benching. For the normal stuff, gaming etc, I don't think you'd see any difference unless again, you were benching.
I don't own an i5 setup, so I'd wait and see what others who have made the transition say about it.
 
Pretty much what i thinking now might just buy a PS3 to play Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 seems a better use of money maybe.
