I just changed my GF, the new ones got just enough milage to know what she's doing but hasn't developed the ability to moan. Perfect. Only 18 though so I'll probably get murdered by her dad

Mine doesn't. Never accepted or wanted a single gift from me. Although she liked the handmade anniversary card I gave her, so can't complain.

I suprise my wife with gifts and I do her...she got me some shirts and jeans without me asking. Not a massive investment but the suprise of it made me feel great and more loved than if I demanded she buy me things.

If you start off in a relationship buying gifts etc, then they will come to expect it all the time, imo, treat em mean, keep em keen - works for me.
