Gfx card help please

Hi i brought one of them pc dusters (tin of air) and used it to dust my pc


Once i had finished i pluged it all back in but my pc was going realy slow on start up and wouldent shut down would just freeze on shutting down window so had to press button in untill it turned off


i reinstalled windows from fresh and it seemed to be working better untill i install my gfx card now getting same problem as when i first pluged in from dusting pc is there anyway to check if my gfx is broken without taking it out and putting into another pc ? i only have a laptop other then the pc my card is in ?



card is under a year old am i covered ?
 
What card is it? Can we have a full spec. Is it possible that a friend will allow you to test it in theirs?

OP: Yes, you're still in warranty, but I'm doubtful you have killed graphics card by dusting it with air!

Is it seated properly? Proper power connections going to it?
 
yea i could try adding it to my mates pc


yea i havent removed the card or anything just took of side panel and sprayed air on fans mother board ect


pc is still as how ocuk built it


Also i keep getting a check disc black screen come up is this checking my HD ? i guess this is because i have to turn off from holding down on button ?

Hmm, did you notice the can getting very cold in your hands?

Could be some gas condensed and you sprayed some liquid on a socket, might have caused a short.

Really am plucking at straws now :p

yes i had to open a second can because the cans got so cold you think if i leave pc untill tomorrow morning it will be ok ?

Small, short bursts.

Otherwise condensation forms, and you spray out water.

As above, leave for a while (liquid should be non-conductive) and try again!
 
Ok Pc working now thanks for the help only one thing left that dont seem right i use the CPU gadget on windows 7 befor memerory was always on 25% and CPU at 1% just browseing music playing ect


now its at 31% and CPU jumps from 1-4% sometimes 9%


any ideas please ?


i have done all driver updates for motherboard Gfx card windows update
