GFX card on the way out?

Playing COD4 just now and the screen goes black for a few seconds then back to normal, and repeats every ten seconds.

Reboot the PC to be faced with this error:

This is definitely the first thing I'd try.

It does sound more like a software fault. Hardware failures tend to involve artifacts, lockups, reboots and BSODs.

Just get the latest official nvidia ones. Go to their website (www.nvidia.com) and click the 'download drivers' tab. From there just select the appropriate boxes.

Make sure you properly remove the old drivers first, though! At a minimum, remove the old drivers through control panel ('add and remove programs'). To be sure, you could run a program called 'driver cleaner' (google for it).

Yea I was going to use the official ones, but was just checking there are no leaked ones I've missed that are any good - havent been in here for a while
