I know this is a pretty naff thread... but with all these incredible cards out and coming out.. for me the card that im most fond of is my old 9600pro. i bought it brand new with me, back then, brand new comp about 3year ago... maybe more. and it lasted ever since last summer. it never failed.. it was good overclocking and it did the business... i felt it was money well spent as it lasted me so long.

its a love story

lol.

i think we are all addicted to power now.. so we kill our cards for 10more points with 3dmark

you know who you are
at least there is enough time for a screenshot before it dies though.. right? :)

7800GTX, had it 7mths already and it's still one of the best cards around, i don't think i've ever had a single card as long.

V3 2000 AGP was an awesome card though, passive cooled too. ;)

My 9500P. Bought it for £150 and it lasted me ages! First mod was an arctic cooler and then came the driver softmod which gave me a 9700NP! :D

Gave me a nice healthy boost in 3DMARK scores too.

As far as i know its still going strong in a machine i sold in mm.

I miss it quite abit now. :( ....

...Oh well, X850 XT will keep me company, i think i may volt mod it soon too. lol. :p

I remember when i was far from happy with 3dfx going down,,

My first cards were
voodoo1 4mb £70 ( I remember this one struggling to run quake 2 at 30fps with an intel 200mhz@233mhz cpu,32mb ram)
voodoo2 12mb £120 (if i remember right they made a 8mb & 12mb one)
voodoo3 (32mb?) £160
voodoo5 5500agp 64mb £230

But my favorite card had to be my ati 9800pro All In Wonder..I had for about two years.

The 9500pro in my old pc. Was amazing, could run all the games I ever owned (before getting this computer) on full settings in 1024x768.
Halflife2 on full settings was about the most advanced my games got.

Sadly the rig didnt belong to me so I didn't overclock, just want to swap the card out so I can see what it an do properly now :)

STB4400 Riva TNT, fastest card in the world at one point, had twice as much RAM as my previous system had in total. Blindingly powerful.

My current 9600pro is almost 3 now, and still going despite major abuse and many vpu crashes. I've been pretty lucky with graphics cards, hopefully still will be.

I envy all those in here with vodoo sli rigs =) I used to dream.

GeForce 2MX. :D Great card back in the days when I knew nothing of hardware and FPS ran any game until PoP. GeForce 2MX to 7800GTX. :D
