Hi, I'm after a GFX card for my HP micro-server N36L;

I believe the card needs to be low profile to fit.

I'm looking at running XBMC on Ubuntu and have been advised Nvidia rather than ATI for better driver support?
I am looking at using the server to run a HTPC for the TV, and am looking at using a single HDMI cable with audio supported by the GFX card.

What do you guys recommend?

Erm, Nvidia aren't offering too many low profile cards at the moment as they are concentrating on the high end cards mainly.

Nvidia do have good driver support, but ATI ain't that bad. I have a HD5770 and I have never had a driver problem with them.

A good card (being ATI) is the 5450 which does the job for HD content: HD5450 Low Silent Low Profile

This is the only real card on OCuK that would do the job for a low price.

I am not going to give other examples as I don't put competitor links on the forums.

ATI drivers are minimal at best on Linux. You can display stuff fine, but say goodbye to acceleration.

Thanks for your replies.
It seems that I should stick with Nvidea as I thought :) , although I'm still unable to find a suitable card, most the cards I see do not mention support for audio of HDMI , is this a feture of certain GPU's? such as the G210? or do I need ot look in the detailed specificaiton?

Do you know any suitable cards? , (without listing competitors)

Thanks
