Hi all

Is this price drop for the 275 just an OCUK drop ? Or an nVidia one ?

Also, any word on a 285 drop or 295 ?

I'm unsure wither to buy a 4870x2 or a 285, but would rather get the 295 to tide me over till the next ATI's come out, although Id rather have the new nVidia's hehe.

I currently own an evga 8800gtx superclocked card.

Well, apparently the new ATI cards are out end of July at the earliest. There is no concrete evidence that is the case, however.

You're willing to buy a GTX 295 just to last you a few months until the new ATIs?

I think the XFX 4870x2 is the most attractive option given its price/performance ratio.

Some good advice, thanks.

I'm a little bit weary that the 4870x2 price will drop if the new ATI's are out in the next month or two.

I think I may wait till the end of the month for a better look at when the new ATI's will be out and stick with my trusty 8800 for the moment.

Then wait another month...

Then hear a rumour about new nvidia cards and wait another month..

It never ends lol ;)

That is very true. You will always end up waiting for something 'just around the corner'.

In this case I think it is worthwhile waiting a bit. You don't have much to lose. The prices will probably decrease on the current ATI cards.
