gfx testing software

Hi,

Just finished off my new system want to run it through its paces before i fill it with junk. what software can i use to test gfx etc? was gonna use 3dmark but the copy i've got (free copy.. well limited use etc) just hangs and doesnt do anything (can close in task manmager without any problems). I first thought it may because i upgraded my xp to sp3 but i have since removed and gone back to sp2 and still having the problem.

Without having to install a game

, Games will come want to see if i need to tweak first. 3dmark would have been perfect except its not working

Try Vantage, there might be a patch needed for your Win mark 2006 to work, how old is the disc.

thanks for the replies, the disc is very old (4 years maybe) have run all the ms patches (apart from sp3).

am gonna give http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/rthdribl/ a go for now and checkout some of the other tools you've suggested.
