GFX trouble after computer sleeps?

Hi Folks,

When I try and wake my PC from sleep mode I can hear it come to life but then the GFX card fans goes to 100% (really loud!) and the computer stops booting into windows. I have to hold the power button to turn it off, turn off the power supply and turn on again after 30 seconds and it is fine.

What could be causing this? GFX card works fine in windows etc.

Specs are
i5 750
Asus motherboard
4 gb ram
HIS 5850

Hey,

Still having this problem. It also appears to happen when booting the PC too. I really don't understand why it is happening.

It could be the gfx, the mother board or the PSU but I don't have any spares to test it out. When windows boots everything works fine.

Anyone else come accross anything like this?
