gfx upgrade?help?

ok guys my system E6300@ 3.2 , 2gb geil mem, and a x1950 pro 256mb ddr3 gfx card

now im looking to get a new monitor to so should i uprade the gfx?is dx10 a must im looking to spend £200 ish? any help?

What resolution you expecting to play at?

Below 1680x1050 = Get a 320MB 8800 GTS (£180 ish)
At or above 1680x1050 = Get a 640MB 8800 GTS (£225 ish)

Could also try a 2900 XT, but they are about £235.

looking at a Dell 2007WFP so 1680x1050 max res ill tkae a look at the 320MB 8800 GTS

Yep, that would perform better for you at 1680x1050. That's what res I use with my GTX, and I can whack most things up to at least 8AA 16AF. Playing Tomb Raider Anniversary at 16AA 16AF and it's sooooo smooth :D Even the demo of CMR DiRT is ultra smooth at 8AA 16AF
