GFX Upgrade now, the rest later?

Don't get rx480 ist hot mess and it does not perform that well. if you planing on gaming in 1080p just get 2nd hand 980 (evga transferable warranty) or 980ti.

and ocuk got this baby for sale now with free game and 5 years of warranty which will give you peace of mind for years to come and wont die after 2-3 years like AMD gpus

The internet seems to disagree with your thoughts.

The Zotec card is £150 more than the OP was looking at and the GTX 900 cards are in the dead driver pool. I suppose it would depend on the price of a used GTX 980 to some extent though.

Most people will say that it's better value for money / the one to go for, but imo you won't go wrong either way. Look at the prices of models + compare game performance, or flip a coin. If you're on a strict budget then 470/480 all the way. In either case, whatever you buy will be much, much faster than your current card.

What budget do you have for the monitor?

Not sure to be honest as I dont know where to start, I quite like the looks of these ultra wide jobbies but dont really want to be spending £400-£500 on it. I guess wheres a good all rounder to start me off on what to look for?
