Doesn't look like dropbox is happy with you trying to embed and image like that... Still, ice bucket and a fan is pretty ghetto, I'll give you that! :)

If you are inside apparently a damp towel hung over an open window will help stop the heat getting in from outside if its cooler inside.

Maybe try taping some Ice cubes to the fan..... might work as make shift evaporative cooler

or it will just soak you and the room

today i am dual wielding.

small desk fan on max speed on top of the desk
large desk fan on max speed below desk in the crotch region.

high CFM and static pressure from both ensuring maximum coolness.

its still hot as hell in the ocuk purchasing office though.

and gibbo burps into your fan FTW!

Been messing about with some peltiers DIY AC style but really you need a lot more than a couple of 100 watts of heat exchange to have a noticeable impact on a room.

There was a guy on youtube which made a DIY airconditioner using ducting tube, cooling box, fan and and frozen water in 2l bottles

The fan would blow air in to the cooling box, and would push the air over the ice bottles and force it out the ducting tube

It sounded like a brilliant concept, although I think my brother tried it once and he said the ice in the bottles melted too quickly.

If its the one I think it was the great thing was he was using solar to power it :D

Been playing about with similar but replacing the ice with the use of peltiers but so far not really getting much out of it (wasn't really expecting to but thought I'd have a play).

Yeh solar to power it does ring some bells, think it was the same one :p

Shame I would have built myself one if it worked well :D
