Ghost Recon 4

Can't say that but they have it slated for Q3 2009...not that such things can be trusted but it may mean something's in the works.
 
gotta say its more than likely bull, since there isn't a ghost recon 3, so how can there be a 4? GRAW wasn't ghost recon 3, it was 'advanced warfighter' :p if it was happening i would be a happy bunny, loved ghost recon since day one!
 
red storm is great news if its true, but i don't wanna see the GRAW interface vanishing, ghost recon I gameplay combined with GRAW HUD/interface = win! :D
 
hehe GRIN had a hard time with that, they fought hard with UBI to get all that crap off the screen, there was a lot more initially than in the released version, UBI wanted more bling and arcade stuff on the screen to target kids. tbh the only thing i care about is the reticle in the middle, so i'd be happy to get rid of the hud all together.
 
Yeah for sure. Games these days are turning into arcade tripe. We could do with a bit more simulation in these games nowadays.

Maybe not as anal as Red Orchestra, although that was awesome.
 
no!!! the advanced warfighter 'helmet' was great, it made you feel like seeing through someones eyes rather than just a game, i hate games that give you a half arsed HUD (UT is a huge example) with nothing else, good examples of good HUD for me are GRAWI and II, halo 3, crysis could have been if they had been bothered, but thats the best game for other stuff, like POV shaking and moving when climbing, seeing your hands getting you onto a rooftop, stuff like that :) other features of GRAW are great too, the crosscom was great addition (not console since it was ****), the drone and the land warrior weapons (XM-29, etc, only seems to be in console versions FFS!) letting you peak round corners with your gun :)
 
This is GREAT. A new PROPER Ghost Recon, none of that Advanced Warfighter crap! (I'm not into the futuristic stuff, I'd rather have modern day).

Gashman, I'd imagine they're counting "Advanced Warfighter" as 3.

first thing, advanced warfighter isn't really futurisitc, its all based around a system being currently implimented by the US, that used to be called 'land warrior' i don't think it still goes by that name, the helmet mounted HUD, etc. all exist in reality at this very moment, so going back to original ghost recon would be a step back? :p

While Land Warrior/Future Force Warrior does exist, it'll be quite a while before it's rolled out fully. In addition, the XM8 assault rifle has been scrapped and wont be used.

By futuristic stuff I mean stuff like FFW and the XM8, that has either been scrapped or won't be fully implemented for years. I'm interested in modern combat with weapons and systems currently in use.

Give me the M4 or even the M16 any day. :D

Erm, surely GR:AW 2 would be 4 then?
